SPORT:

Alpinism: The Ledro Valley has a varied morphology. In the northern side there is a beautiful crown of mountains, from where stands out the Monte Cadria, which is the highest of the Alps of Ledro (2254 m). In the southern side you find the Carone-Tremalzo-Tombea groups, particularly interesting from the botanical point of view and for the several excursion possibilities.
The net of marked paths belonging to the CAI-SAT (the Italian Alpine Club) allows you to organize different kinds of trekking and excursions, depending on your physical conditions and time. A depliant with some possible excursions is avaiable.


Mountain bike: Fabulous itineraries partly on military roads along the WWI front. Breathtaking views on lake Ledro, lake Garda and the Adamello Group. More than 200 Km of challenging itineraries of various length and effort, but all immersed in the green of the Ledro mountains for an active holiday characterized by sport and health!



Sailing: Thanks to its orography, the Lake Ledro is considered the ideal place for team and round robin match race regattas. The wind that blows from the East and starts at about 10,30 a.m. till 4,30 p.m., makes the waters of Ledro a privileged lake for regattas.
The association was founded in 1960 by a group of local people and guests of the Ledro Valley very keen on sailing. In 1984 it obtained the affiliation to the FIV (the Italian Sailing Association) and now the enrolleds are about 150.The 27th of June 2004, the new sailing centre has been opened in Pieve di Ledro.


Canyoning: In the Ledro valley you can practice canyoning, a new sport which consists in the descent of waterfalls and gorges: a full immersion in the most hidden nature.
In the Ledro valley there are two torrents, where you can do it and both are in the Ampola valley.
One is the Palvico torrent, emissary of lake Ampola which descends to Storo. It is ideal for those who try canyoning for the first time because it is not too long and difficult.
The other one is Rio Nero, which descends from Tremalzo. It lasts more and it is more demanding from the technical point of view.

Fishing: In the lake Ledro live several kinds of fishes such as the trout, the perch, the carp, the tench, the eel, the pike, the white fish and the burbot; to fish in the lake You first need a fishing permit. Fishing ids permitted also on Rivers Ponale, Massangla, Rio Nero, Ovri and Sache.

Horses: The natural environment of Ledro Valley is perfect for nice horse excursions immersed in the luxuriant nature, surrounded by the greenery of the woods and mountains.

Paragliding: it is very easy to learn and the technological improvements makes it safer! There are several take-off points in the valley, differents in panorama and technical difficulty.
